In 2010 Ingenious bought an overgrown rest plot situated between Nursing Home ‘De Meent’ and the ring road east in Veenendaal, of the municipality Veenendaal. A plot that initially seemed quite difficult to develop, because of the various hindrances in the environment and because of its accessibility. De Willem Barentszstraat and the Cornelis Houtmanstraat are situated next to this planning area and to honour the names of these explorers, we decided to call our project ‘Nova Zembla’. In the end, the new street was given the name Petrus Planciusstraat.
Ingenious built, as part of project ‘Nova Zembla’, 18 ground oriented single-family dwellings of the social rent sector for ‘Patrimonium woonservice’, 9 single-family dwellings in of the non-subsidized housing sector and 8 ground oriented life-course sustainable owner-occupied houses.
