Engelenweide

This was the first project of Ingenious, and it was quite something! At the edge of Veenendaal, very close to the ‘Prattenburgse Bos’, in 2010, Ingenious bought five parcels from different owners. The cluster ‘Engelenweide’ was and became the name of this cluster in the ribbon ‘Veeneind’. After a lengthy process of development planning and consultation with the municipality of Rhenen, in the end 13 unique detached houses were built at this location, in a beautiful green setting. The houses were designed and built with a large amount of participation of the buyers, guided by the project architect. Project ‘Engelenweide’ was also one of the first projects in the Netherlands that made use of a so-called individual ground-coupled heat exchanger, which uses the heat and cold from the soil, in order to heat and cool the house in a sustainable manner.
