About this project
The Station area is divided into a number of subareas, among which the subarea ‘Stationskwartier’. Within the subarea ‘Stationskwartier’, Ingenious owns the area of the central station and the area surrounding the most important bus connection interchange. After consultation with the municipality, we are working on improving the accessibility of this area and to develop about 100 houses.
About this area
The station area in Hoofddorp is a new area development, initiated by the municipality of Haarlemmermeer and offers space to about 15,000 new houses and 11,000 jobs. This was partially due to the arrival of the Noord/Zuidlijn in this area.
The plans for this area development were accomplished after cooperation with eight cities from the Metropole region Amsterdam (MRA), named ‘Accessible Cities’. The objective of this area development is to show that consolidation surrounding stations, offers many opportunities, resulting in more and faster housing construction that encourages the use of public transport.

The station environment of Hoofddorp, at a distance of some minutes of Schiphol airport, offers unique chances to develop an urban area in the coming years that will be characterised by a mixture of housing, work, study, travel, stay and leisure.
