About this project

Ingenious was the first to start the development of the ‘Pionierkwartier’, by replacing a physiotherapy practice in 2016, from the existing old buildings, into this area with new housing estate of more than 500 square metres, with above it: 14 apartments. This was the key to make way for the development of the projects that would follow.

About this area

The ‘Pionierkwartier’ is basically completed, but in the entire ‘Stationskwartier’ there is still construction work, amongst other regarding the redevelopment of the fire station that will get a new place in this area, the Nasr mosque and various self-construction plots at the Ambachtstraat, where people are able to build their own houses, linked to each other.

The strenght of the Pionierkwartier

The ‘Pionierkwartier’ is subarea B in the large-scale area development ‘Stationskwartier’ in Veenendaal. It is within walking distance of the centre and the Central Station. This is originally an industrial area that is very lively and has old factories. One of the well-known factories of ‘Roosvicee’ literally started its business here.
